| The Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (BEECDP) is 100% federally funded program, and was implemented in 1999 under a cooperative agreement between the Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta, Georgia, through its National Cancer Prevention and Control Program (NCPCP). This program addresses the US Department of Public Health and Human Services “Healthy People 2010” priority area related to cancer. The purpose of the program is to establish a comprehensive public health approach to reduce breast and cervical cancer morbidity and mortality. This is accomplish through: (1) increasing the regular use of cancer screening and diagnostic services to low income, uninsured or underinsured women; (2) providing public education, information and outreach; (3) providing system of referral, tracking, monitoring, surveillance and case management; (4) providing professional education on screening, re-screening, and diagnostic services; and (5) monitoring and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the program. |

- Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) or Conization
- Cytology Studies

| Eligibility |
|
Women are eligible under the GBCCEDP if they are:
- 35-64 years old; with
- No insurance or underinsured (having insurance that does not completely cover the cost of screening exams); and
- U.S. Citizens or Qualified Aliens (Green Card Holder, FSM, etc); and
- Documented residents of Guam for at least six months; and
- Meets income guidelines
- Priority population are women 50-64 years of age
